Gateway Airport Parking closing down January 31, 2021

As of January 31st, 2021, Gateway Airport Parking will be closed with all future business after this time being referred to Andrew’s Airport Parking. The combination of COVID-19, no cruise ships likely until the end of 2021 and our lease coming to an end has left us with little choice.

It is our intention to look at reopening sometime in 2022 however for now we must sadly close our doors.

The good news is that you can continue to park with us right up until the end of the month and if your return date is past January 28, 2021 we will transfer your booking to Andrew’s Airport Parking for the same price you have booked at Gateway. Andrew’s Airport Parking will also honour all bookings that have been made at Gateway prior to January 31, 2021 for all future bookings at the same price you have booked at Gateway.

So if you’re thinking about traveling in the future get your booking in now!

The other great news is that the team at Gateway that you have come to know and love all have jobs at Andrew’s and will continue to look after you all.

In summing up we take this opportunity first and foremost to say thank you to 100,000’s of customers that have parked with us over 10 wonderful years. Delivering great value and service in airport parking for leisure and working travellers alike, along with those cruising out of Brisbane, has been our pleasure to provide.

Moving forward we do hope to reopen down the track however for now please support our sister business Andrew’s Airport Parking during these tough times.

It’s only natural you may have some questions, please review our set of FAQ’s below.

Q. Why is Gateway Airport Parking merging into Andrew’s Airport Parking?

Our lease term at 240 Macarthur Avenue has come to an end. With that and lower customer numbers flying and cruising from Brisbane, the best decision for our business, staff and customers is to merge into Andrew’s.

Q. Where is Andrew’s Airport Parking and what are their contact details?

Andrew’s Airport Parking are located at 539 Nudgee Road, Hendra QLD. You can reach the team either at www.andrewsairportpark.com.au or on (07) 3268 4222.

Q. Are there any differences in service provided between Gateway Airport Parking and Andrew’s Airport Parking?

No. Andrew’s provide secure parking and on-demand return transfers to Brisbane Airport Domestic and International Terminals 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week. Car cleaning and mechanical services are also available.

Andrew’s are 5 minutes closer to Brisbane Airport and the drop off / collections on Brisbane Airport grounds are in the same location.

The only change you can expect is parking at the new location of 539 Nudgee Road, Hendra and travel on a blue bus, rather than our green buses.

Q. My car is currently parked at Gateway and will still be parked after January 28th, 2021. What do I do?

We will contact you  during the week beginning January 11th. We will move your vehicle from Gateway Airport Parking to Andrew’s Airport Parking in the days leading up to January 28th, 2021 and on return you will board a blue Andrew’s Airport Parking bus.

There are no changes to the pricing or terms of your parking contract.

Q. I have a booking or plan to make a booking at Gateway Airport Parking, that would have me parking after January 28th, 2021. What do I do?

Those who have a booking already with Gateway Airport Parking, with a return date after January 28th, we will contact you during the week beginning January 11th. We will migrate your booking across to Andrew’s Airport Parking during that week and ask that you park at Andrew’s Airport Parking.

You will receive a confirmation email from Andrew’s Airport Parking, when we migrate your booking.

There are no changes to the pricing or terms of your parking contract and any payments that have been made to Gateway Airport Parking will of course be honoured.

You can continue booking with Gateway Airport Parking right up until our final closing date of January 31st.

When you make these bookings, you may receive a confirmation email from Gateway Airport Parking, but that email will confirm your correct parking address based on your Check Out Date. If you are returning on or before January 28th, 2021 the address will be our current address at 240 MacArthur Avenue, Hamilton, while bookings that return after January 28th, 2021 will confirm 539 Nudgee Road, Hendra.

Any bookings with Gateway Airport Parking, returning after January 28th, 2021 will again be migrated across to Andrew’s Airport Parking and you will receive a confirmation email from Andrew’s Airport Parking when this occurs.

There will be no changes to the pricing or terms of your parking contract and any payments that are made to Gateway Airport Parking will of course be honoured.

Q. For how much longer can I make bookings through Gateway Airport Parking website or over the phone?

You can continue booking with Gateway Airport Parking right up until our final closing date of January 31st.

When you make these bookings, you may receive a confirmation email from Gateway Airport Parking, but that email will confirm your correct parking address based on your Check Out Date. If you are returning on or before January 28th, 2021 the address will be our current address at 240 MacArthur Avenue, Hamilton, while bookings that return after January 28th, 2021 will confirm 539 Nudgee Road, Hendra.

After January 31st, enquiries to Gateway Airport Parking will be redirected to Andrew’s Airport Parking.

Q. I am a Miner’s Member at Gateway Airport Parking. Will my membership transfer AND will I receive the same rates and service at Andrew’s Airport Parking?

Yes. Your Miner’s Membership carries over to Andrew’s entirely, including your priority rates. At minimum you will receive the same rates you currently receive at Gateway for any and all parking stays that begin before August 1st, 2021.

The Memberships will be migrated across in the days preceding January 28th, 2021, but we have already set the rates and reciprocal rights such that you can begin parking at Andrew’s Airport Parking immediately, at your Gateway rate.

Q. I am not a Miner, but will my membership and parking history transfer from Gateway Airport Parking to Andrew’s Airport Parking?

Yes. Similar to Miner’s we will migrate across your membership and parking history in the days preceding January 28th, 2021.

Q. I have a voucher at Gateway Airport Parking, will that voucher be recognised at Andrew’s Airport Parking?

Yes. We will be transferring all valid vouchers in full from Gateway Airport Parking across to Andrew’s Airport Parking in the days preceding January 28th, 2021. When the voucher is entered into Andrew’s Airport Parking system, you will receive the voucher by email.

Please Note: Voucher No. will change when they’re moved to Andrew’s.

Q. Will Andrew’s Airport Parking be servicing the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT) and Portside Wharf?

Andrew’s Airport Parking are yet to decide whether the cruise ports will be serviced. With cruising unlikely until the 2nd half of 2021, this decision will be made in the near future.

You can see from these Q&A, that all of the service and standards you are accustomed with us at Gateway will be filled by both Gateway staff and the existing team at Andrew’s after January 28th, with no requirement on your behalf to take any action.
